Shaw + Smith operates its website with a trusted network of partners and third-party providers that ensure the website works efficiently. This includes but is not limited to the eCommerce platform (Commerce 7), CRM (Klaviyo), payment provider (Stripe) and reservations system (Now Book It). These third parties may collect and store your information to help fulfil their functionality. The limits in which they do this are up to each individual platform and not the responsibility of Shaw + Smith. Ultimately, Shaw + Smith will endeavour to treat your personal information with care. Wine-Specific Conditions
  • Legal Requirements
    You must be 18 years of age or older, to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Shaw + Smith. Receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of a sober adult (a person 18 years of age or older who is not intoxicated). Wines purchased from Shaw + Smith are not for resale, and are for personal consumption only.
  • Credit Card Charges
    Website orders are by credit card only. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, which are processed via our third-party payment provider, Stripe, who will collect your payment information. We are not responsible for Stripe’s handling or storage of your billing information.
  • Minimum Purchase
    No minimum purchase is required. Incentives such as free shipping may be in place if you order over a certain amount.
  • Shipping Costs
    Australia Post and Couriers Please are Shaw + Smith's carriers of choice but other carriers may be used at Shaw + Smith's discretion. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer, charged at the standard rate quoted by Shaw + Smith at checkout, unless the customer qualifies for free shipping. Shaw + Smith use a third-party platform to manage their shipping and logistics, Shippit. Your shipping information will be given to Shippit in order for Shaw + Smith to send and deliver your wines to you. We do not take responsibility for Shippit’s handling of your information.
  • Wine is a Delicate Commodity
    Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. To ensure that the wines arrive without compromise, Shaw + Smith has an extreme weather delivery policy. We will not send out wine if the weather is extreme either at Shaw + Smith winery or at the end destination for the wine. If this is the case, we will correspond with the customer to determine a suitable delivery time when the wine will not be jeopardised.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
An order may be adjusted or cancelled at the discretion of Shaw + Smith staff if reasonable notice is given prior to dispatch. Once the wine is dispatched, it may be recalled or redirected by the customer or upon request to Shaw + Smith to act on the customer's behalf. No refunds or credits can be given until the original wine is received by the winery. If Shaw + Smith have been notified of a breakage in transit by our carrier, we will endeavour to send out a replacement to the customer as soon as possible.

We will replace or refund you for any bottle of wine that is received damaged or faulty. We ask the customer to return the unfinished portion of the original bottle for replacement. By law, we cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages unless the product is corked or damaged. We are also unable to accept return of wine that was damaged due to adverse weather conditions during shipment, or wine that is ordered in error. Please send an email to info@shawandsmith.com to arrange for the return of corked or damaged product.

Once the wine is received back to the winery we will refund your credit card account for the cost of the wine less shipping and handling. If the original shipment was damaged or flawed you will receive a full refund, including shipping and handling charges. Please contact the tasting room at +61 8398 0500 for return instructions.

All event tickets purchased are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.
Subscriptions
Shaw + Smith offer Wine Clubs in the form of subscriptions, where regular payments are required to receive a product or service. Upon sign up, the subscription will continue until a customer request that they opt out. A customer at any time can adjust or cancel their subscription with Shaw + Smith by logging in to their account online or by contacting the winery by phone, email or in person. If a subscription is cancelled or payment is defaulted, the customer will forfeit any benefits associated with their subscription, such as preferential pricing.
Accounts
To shop online at shawandsmith.com, an account will automatically be created on your behalf by our eCommerce platform, Commerce7. When creating your account, you acknowledge you are 18 years or older and that all the information provided to us, including personal information and shipping addresses required to accurately fulfil your order, is correct. If your information changes, you are encouraged to update your details by logging in to your account on the website or contacting us via phone or email to update on your behalf.

It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your account – including keeping your password confidential. If you believe there has been a security breach on your account, Shaw + Smith must be notified immediately at info@shawandsmith.com or 08 8398 0500.

You may delete your Shaw + Smith account by selecting ‘Delete My Account’ under ‘Account Details’ from your online membership portal, or you can contact us to do so on your behalf.
Direct Marketing
If you have an account with Shaw + Smith, you will automatically be added to our email marketing database, operated via Klaviyo. This means you may periodically receive email or SMS communication from Shaw + Smith with news, offers and updates based on your communication preferences.

You may opt out of receiving these communications by clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ on any email or SMS you receive, or by contacting us directly. Please note unsubscribing from our direct marketing does not delete your Shaw + Smith account.

  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time via an unsubscribe link on an email marketing campaign or by contacting us directly via phone or email.
  • Restrict or object to data processing.
